Stronger Than Ever

The backbone of the truck is a purposely-built fully boxed frame that unlike the outgoing Raptor features a more high-strength steel thereby making it the strongest in the entire F-150 lineup. The chiseled looks, at first glimpse, are reminiscent of the Trophy Trucks – the big, bad, bold, fastest, and the most powerful of the off-road pickups. Of-road stability is further enhanced by additional six-inches on its width.

Short Summary

When it comes to off-road performance, the all-new Raptor gets new seventeen-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires, and the first ever dual-exhaust system. Beneath the hood, it gets a new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine that replaces the 6.2L V8 engine that previously offered an output rated at 411 hp and 434 pounds-feet of torque. The new V6, according to Ford, will be able to make a way much better output. However, the output figures have not been offered yet.

For superior off-road capability, the new model comes with an easy-to-use driver-assist technology, torque-on-demand transfer case, and an all-new four-wheel drive system. Slippery terrains need not be a concern as the new model comes with a mechanical-locking four-wheel drive system, an on-demand AWD system, and a new transfer case.

Drive Modes

There are several drive modes available to help the driver optimize performance on different environmental conditions. They include: mud and sand mode for sandy and muddy terrains; Normal mode for daily-driving; rock mode for low-speed rock crawling; Baja mode for desert running; weather mode for snow, ice, and rain; and lastly, the street mode for on-road driving.

Once available, the new Ford Raptor 2017 will have to battle it out with the likes of Ram 2500 Power Wagon, and the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.

What Are The 2017 Ford Raptor’s Release Date & Price?

Early 2017 is the date set for its release date, however, some sources argue that the new model might go for sale sometime in the second half of next year. $46,000 is what it will cost you to own the base Raptor model once it starts going for sale.

2017 Ford Raptor Exterior

According to the spy pictures we have, it is evident that the new model comes with additional body paints relative to the existing model. The signature grille has been re-tweaked a bit and it helps in offering the front profile a more menacing look. Additional exterior features to expect include 17-inch steel wheels, pre-wired trailer connections, trailer sway control, a cargo management system, exterior trim and chrome bumpers, a rear privacy glass, underbody skid plates, and automatic headlights.

Small Updates For The 2017 Ford Raptor Interior

The interior, too, continues with the subtle tweaks just like the exterior. Here, the passenger space remains unchanged from before as the dimensions haven’t grown an inch. However, the overall layout hints the level of premium-ship. The technologies have been upgraded, as have the materials’ quality. Some of the standard accessories you might expect include a 2.3-inch driver information screen, dual-zone automatic climate control, smartphone app connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, remote keyless entry, USB ports, and power windows and locks. The full list will of course be offered on its release date.

Available Trims

If the trim levels are unchanged from the previous model, then we should expect about six levels: XLT, XL, Platinum, King Ranch, and the Limited. Different body styles are also expected to be offered: Supercrew, Supercab, and regular cab. The Raptor Shelby, and Bronco reviews are handled elsewhere.

Although the US-spec Edge is still shrouded in mystery, some of the highlights we should nonetheless expect include a smoother ride quality, strong fuel efficiency, many available tech and luxury features, and well-trimmed interior boasting of high-quality materials.

Competition?

As is the case with most vehicles, the 2017 Ford Edge will not be the decisive victor in the three-row crossover SUV segment. The 2017 Kia Sorento, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the 2016 Nissan Murano are also capable SUVs that should warrant some buyers’ attention.

Around back, the wraparound LED taillights give the Edge a jewel-like, premium, and modern look. The tailgate window, high-mounted spoiler, and the chrome exhaust tail-pipes all enhance the SUV’s sporty look, aggressive look and add to the cars feeling of movement.

If the Euro-spec model is anything to go by, the U-S-spec version will come with not less than thirteen colors (discussed below).

Details About 2017 Ford Mustang

The new 2017 Ford Mustang all-American muscle car retains its trademark swagger and performance thanks to its confident highway cruising, appealing engine options, well-appointed interior, and capable handling. And unlike, the Mustangs of yesteryears, the 2017 model is more civilized and offers appealing road manners. The Ford Mustang release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017.

Muscle Car Like No Other?

One aspect that makes the Mustang distinct is its genuine crossover appeal. Typically, muscle cars were regarded to be crude machines, but the perception seems changed nowadays thanks to the contemporary designs and refinement. It’s also classy and promises to offer any BMW or Audi buyers a reason to think twice. At the same time, it still manages to retain the tire-smoking exuberance expected of an American performance icon.

Why Is Mustang So Good?

Even with its unaltered specs, the new 2017 Ford Mustang offers lots of value, especially on its interior. The seats are supportive and comfortable and very appealing even for long trips. The new Sync 3 now replaces the much-maligned MyFord Touch infotainment system, and thanks to its swipe and pinch smartphone connectivity, it is now more responsive and easy to use than before.

The same beguiling formula that had everyone talking when it debuted is still offered by the 2017 Ford Mustang. It accelerates effortlessly and handles well even in mundane road conditions. Fuel efficiency is remarkable and is rated at 32 mpg on the highway. The interior is well-dressed and does so without seeming kitschy thanks to the aluminum dash inserts and metal-look toggle switches.

Possible Cons

And just like before, its shape and exterior styling are gracefully intact. Lest you think the Mustang is without foibles, nitpicking has yielded: a bouncy ride quality and a cramped rear seat. Those are the bad things. As such, some other options worth considering include the Dodge Challenger, BMW 2 Series, and the Chevrolet Camaro.

2017 Ford Mustang Coupe Trims

Five trim levels are available for the 2017 Ford Mustang: EcoBoost, GT, GT Premium, V6, and EcoBoost Premium. The 2017 Ford Mustang Mach1, GT350R, and Shelby GT350R reviews are offered separately.

Three mills are offered for the 2017 Ford Escape. The Escape S model comes equipped with a venerable four-cylinder 2.5L engine that is specifically meant at business fleet buyers. Its output is however under wraps for now.

A turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder is available for the Escape SE and Titanium trims and generates 179 hp and 172 lbs. ft. of torque. Finally, the available 245-horsepower – generating 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder is offered for the Escape Titanium and SE as an option. 25 mpg is the fuel economy for combined city/highway cruising for the 2.0L engine.
A fully equipped Ford Escape 2017 towing capacity stands at 1,500 pounds.

Safety

When it comes to the safety, a blind-spot monitor, a rearview camera, and Ford’s MyKey are all available as standard features. NHTSA – the government run body for offering crash impact test results – is yet to conclude its findings. A perfect score should come as a confirmation rather than as a surprise.

SUV Made For A Family – 2017 Ford Explorer Review

The new 2017 Ford Explorer is an excellent family-friendly SUV that offers sharp styling, plenty of passenger space, and a comfortable ride quality. Furthermore, its cargo space is generous, its cabin quiet on the highway, and its turbocharged engine powerful. Some of changes that have made it to the 2017 model year roster include optional running boards, a new Sync 3 infotainment system, and the addition of the Explorer XLT Sport Appearance package. Its release date should be expected sometime in the first quarter of 2017.

Review In A Nutshell

We kid you not, the new 2017 Ford Explorer is an all-rounded three-row SUV that is an excellent option for hauling larger family around, especially when a minivan route isn’t even an option. One notable facelift that manages to stand out among all the rest is the Ford Explorer XLT Sport Appearance Package. This is an optional add-on for buyers intending to get a dose of sporty appearance. It’ll now bring the total number of models to six. Other versions/trims include the Explorer Platinum edition, Explorer Sport, Explorer Limited, Explorer XLT, and the Explorer base.

Sales

Needless to say, buyers of the Explorer have shown particular interest in purchasing unique models. To wit, 30% of all Explorer sales in the USA are accounted for by the top-of-the-range Explorer Sport, and Explorer Platinum. It is also imperative to note that the 2017 Ford Escape slated to go for sale just about the same time as the Explorer, is also set to feature the new Sport Appearance Package.

What Are The Major Updates?

Some of the updates offered inside and out by the Explorer XLT Sport Appearance Package include Magnetic Gray mirror caps, 20-inch Magnetic Gray Wheels, Black roof rack, Magnetic Gray grille, Explorer hood badge, Ebony Black body side cladding, Explorer logo floor mats, and Dark Earth Gray leather for front seats. “We’ve been working closely with Ford Design to offer consumers stuff that they consider unique, ranging from bespoke interior appointments to unique colors, said Omar Odeh, Explorer brand marketing manager.

Trim Differences?

Every model within the 2017 Ford Explorer trim range offers some distinctness that resonates well with individual customer needs. The base model for instance, goes for sale for an MSRP starting from around $30K. It does with less power but drives bigger than it actually looks. Those who find the Explorer Sport fascinating will probably fall head over heels with its punchy turbocharged V6 engine and its sharper handling. When properly equipped, expect the maximum towing capacity to stand at 5,000 pounds.

Are There Any Cons?

It’d be advisable to take your nitpicking safari elsewhere if you’re looking for some gripes. In fact, the only foible that one can find on the 2017 Ford Explorer is perhaps the seven-passenger seating capacity it offers unlike most of its rivals that offer one additional seat. Well, for those still think the new 2017 Explorer still offers the short end of the stick relative to other vehicles, here’s the list of alternatives you can consider as well – 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, 2017 Toyota Highlander, 2017 Honda Pilot, and the 2017 GMC Acadia.

When To Expect The 2017 Ford Explorer To Be Released? What Is The Price?

MSRP pricing with the destination charge included is as follows – Explorer XLT – $35,775, Explorer Limited – $41,525, Explorer Platinum – $53,235, Explorer Base – $31,160, and the Explorer Sport – $45,205. Its release date has been set for the first quarter of 2017.

2017 Ford Explorer Exterior Changes

As can be seen from the pictures, the new model is rugged, capable, and gives the impression of motion even when standstill. Although the changes over the existing model are subtle, they go a long way in burnishing its appeal. Exterior updates include improved aerodynamics, a redesigned rear spoiler, more menacing grille, and robust headlamps.

2017 Ford Explorer Interior

There’s plenty to like about the cabin. In fact, statistics show that most buyers that buy the Explorer are previous owners of a luxury vehicle. Some of the standard accessories to be in the lookout for include an eight-way power driver seat, cruise control, a rearview camera, a rear privacy glass, a CD player, a six-speaker sound system, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, USB/auxiliary audio inputs, and the Sync infotainment system.

Safety Review

In NHTSA crash testing, the Ford Explorer 2017 earned a five out of five star rating for overall crash impact protection. The IIHS also gave it the top rating of “Good” for overall impact and strength tests. Evidently, the new model is not only big on performance and versatility, but it’s also incredibly safe.
